Bennington 250th Hosts Saratoga County Historian

The Battle of Bennington was the first vital step towards the American victory at the Battle of Saratoga. On Friday, May 26, 2023, we were delighted to host Lauren Roberts, Saratoga County Historian and chair of the Saratoga 250th Commission, from nearby New York.

Collaboration between Bennington and Saratoga is a key goal of the Bennington 250th Anniversary effort. By working with our partners across state lines, we will be better able to tell this story which weaves between our two states.

We are also grateful to Martin Mahoney, executive director of the Bennington Museum (pictured with Lauren) for making time to meet with Lauren.
